Terms of Business
Estimates
Unless otherwise agreed, we will estimate the time required, and consequent cost, of an unseen indexing job based on:
· The client providing printed copies of the final proofs
· An agreed indexing density
The actual cost may be adjusted depending on the nature of the publication.
If necessary a formal estimate will be emailed once we have the job in the office to assess.
Delivery dates
We will agree a delivery date based on the expected rate of receipt of proofs and the estimated time required for us to complete the job. If the receipt of proofs is delayed, or more work than expected is required (see Estimates) then it may not be possible to meet the delivery date.
Clients are particularly asked to note that there must always be sufficient time following the receipt of the last proofs to allow for the editing of the index as a whole. This time will vary according to the size of the index. Should we find that the complexity of the job is likely to affect the estimated time of delivery, we will notify you.
Urgent jobs
We will gladly take on an indexing job at short notice, or work to a very tight schedule, but premium rates will be necessary to cover our costs.
Printing proofs
There is an additional charge for printing proofs supplied in PDF format.
Payment terms
30 days after date of invoice. Late Payment Interest Act 1998 may be applied.

· Confidentiality of the client’s business is assured
